There’s a phrase every driver has heard more times than they can count.
“Just one more load.”
It’s said casually. Sometimes with a laugh. Sometimes with a shrug. But it’s rarely meant as a joke.
Because one more load doesn’t just mean one more run. It means another delay. Another reschedule. Another shift in what the day was supposed to be.
It means pushing past the point where rest made sense. It means adjusting again—because something changed again.
